Digitization of the journal Anales de Física y Química: 1903-1947. Cooperation between the Dorotea Barnés Physics and Chemistry Library (CSIC) and the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (RSEQ)

Abstract

The project for the digitization of the Anales de Física y Química of the Spanish Society of Physics and Chemistry (RSEFQ) from the years 1903 to 1947 took one year to complete, from September 2023 to September 2024. It was a collaboration between the Dorotea Barnés Physics and Chemistry Library of the CSIC and the History of Science group of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (RSEQ). Both parties shared an interest in this project: the Dorotea Barnés Library held the bibliographic collections, and the Royal Society of Chemistry would seek the funding to carry it out.

Digitizing the content of the Anales from this period allows for greater access to the culture and the rise of physics and chemistry that developed in Spain during the first third of the 20th century, known as the Silver Age, with this publication being its main means of dissemination.
