FESABID and the Articulation of the Information and Documentation Field in Spain

The Spanish Federation of Societies of Archiving, Library Science, Documentation and Museology (FESABID) has established itself as a key player in the information and documentation sector in Spain. Since its founding in 1988, it has played a fundamental role in coordinating and representing the associations and professional bodies linked to archives, libraries, museums, and documentation centers. In a context of regional diversity, FESABID has succeeded in articulating a unified voice for information professionals, both nationally and internationally. This article analyzes its trajectory, current achievements, and future prospects.
