Digital.CSIC: the road to the consolidation of an institutional scientific repository

Abstract

Six months after the public launch of the institutional repository Digital.CSIC, this article takes stock of the development and implementation process of the new information resource of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). It examines the path followed by the Digital.CSIC Technical Office for the implementation of the repository, as well as the various dissemination actions undertaken to publicize the existence of Digital.CSIC in the field of CSIC research institutes. Finally, the text summarizes present and future developments aimed at improving and enriching the functionalities that the Institutional Repository offers to researchers and users.
