The Digitization Plan for the CSIC Library Network was published at the end of April. This plan aims to create a unitary policy to guide the libraries in the application of common criteria and standards of use for the proper development of digitization projects. The aim is to lay the foundations for the creation and development of a CSIC digital collection of international projection and with a view to sustainability. Although the plan is mainly conceived with heritage and royalty-free collections in mind, the technical guidelines and selection criteria set out therein are a good guide for the development of any digitization project.
