At different scales and with specific orientations, the periodic reports to the Board of the Institute, the annual report to the Senate, the Annual Reports and recently the Strategic Plans (hereinafter referred to as PEs), allow us to render accounts, address medium-term plans and situate the service in the center as a whole. In my opinion, these documents are interrelated and should be conceived as a block. Getting into the habit of collecting data and news to report to the Board of Governors on a regular basis will provide us with the basic framework for the subsequent preparation of the reports to the Board of Trustees and the Annual Report. We lacked these last tools, the PEs, which allow us to address medium-term planning tasks, going beyond the horizon of the Annual Reports, which in our case, to date, have been the only documents in which we incorporated a certain study of what we were planning to carry out in our service.
