Strategic Plan 2010-2013 of the CSIC Library Network

Abstract

The CSIC Libraries Coordination Unit, like all the horizontal units of the CSIC, received the directive to prepare its action plan for the period 2010-2013 at the end of July 2008. During the summer and autumn months, work was carried out on the development of the document, which was finally evaluated by a committee of external evaluators, obtaining a good assessment. In general terms, taking into account the restrictions on how to organize the contents and approach imposed by the application developed by the CSIC for the preparation of strategic plans, the action plan proposed a strategy based on analyzing the fulfillment of the objectives of the previous Strategic Plan (still in force) 2006-2009, assessing its level of fulfillment, considering the opportunity to extend to the new Plan the objectives not achieved but still necessary, and incorporating the new lines or strategies of action necessary for the period 2010-2013.
