Abstract

On October 21, during Open Access Week 2009, the International Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR) was founded in Ghent (Belgium). The aim of the new organization is the consolidation of an international infrastructure of repositories of scientific publications worldwide under the principle of Open Access.
