Abstract

The Milá y Fontanals Institution for Research in Humanities (IMF) has a long tradition in humanistic and social studies consolidated during almost eight decades of activity since the CSIC Delegation was established in Barcelona in the mid-1940s. Throughout these decades, the institution has generated numerous documentation on the development of its activity, gathering and acquiring a rich documentary heritage. A first approximation of the composition and current situation of its documentary archival collection is presented in order to project future actions that lead to its organization and documentary treatment, preservation and dissemination.
