Prospective of a constantly evolving profession: presentation of the study conducted by FESABID

Abstract

The Spanish Federation of Archival, Library, Documentation and Museum Societies (FESABID) has prepared a study on professional profiles called: "Prospective of a profession in constant evolution". There is a changing and demanding scenario in professional development due to technological advances, changes in organizational models, the evolution of competencies, the coexistence of face-to-face and digital environments in the provision of services, etc. The aim of this study is to provide an in-depth view of information and documentation professionals today and to make forecasts for the future.
