In 2007, the institutes that now make up the Centre for Human and Social Sciences were transferred: History, Philology, Spanish Language, Economics and Geography, Philosophy, Scientific Information and Documentation and the Comparative Policies Unit. The documentation generated by these institutes throughout their history was now kept and managed by the Archival Processing and Documentation Unit. In 2010, given the characteristics of this unit and its staff, it was decided to formally establish it as an archive, becoming part of
