Abstract

The document reproduction service remains essential for users' access to information; this service for modern bibliographic collections has a long history in libraries through specific reprography sections or self-service machines; the current trend is to abandon paper photocopies and replace them with digital copies, generally in pdf format. Reproducing journal articles or parts of books by these means for research or study purposes must always be protected by copyright in accordance with current legislation.
