The situation I found when I started working at the EBD Library in January 2011 was somewhat discouraging. The library had been closed from December 2008 to October 2010, so most researchers had lost contact with the library and its services. In addition, the three people working at the library were unmotivated and two of them had little knowledge of the library and its computer applications. The services provided were minimal and without any kind of time control, which made the quality of the services quite poor.
