The Milá i Fontanals Institution is located in the Raval district of Barcelona, in the heart of the city's historic centre. Its location opposite the Library of Catalonia and the Institute of Catalan Studies and its proximity to the Faculty of Geography and History, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Centre for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona, make the area a centre of academic and cultural activity of the first order.
