From 8 to 10 September, the annual meeting of the International Ex Libris Users Group (IGELU) was held at the Free University of Berlin. I had the opportunity to attend the meeting as a representative of the Spanish Users Group (Expania), of which URICI (CSIC) holds the presidency. More than 350 people from all over the world attended the meeting, but the economic crisis was reflected in the scarce presence of institutions from southern European countries. Ex Libris is one of the most important companies worldwide in computer applications for libraries: library management systems (Aleph, Voyager and Alma), link servers (Sfx), discovery tools (Primo), etc., and in Spain, 40 institutions use its products.
