The Milà i Fontanals Institution (IMF) houses the documentary collection of the Archive of Ethnography and Folklore of Catalonia (AEFC). Created in November 1915 by Dr. Tomàs Carreras i Artau in the Seminar of his Chair of Ethics at the University of Barcelona, it compiles ethnographic, psychological and ethical data in order to make an ethnographic inventory of Catalonia.
