Abstract

1.005 / 5.000   Resultats de traducció Resultat de traducció The new life of the institutional historical archive of the Biological Mission of Galicia (ABL) began in 2012 due to the urgent need to clean up a warehouse filled from floor to ceiling with a cocktail of documentation, a happy pasture for various critters. Official letters, memoirs, letters, many letters, brochures, registration books, minutes, field notebooks, photographs…, evocative reflections of other times, dreams and expectations. Thus was born a first attempt at document grouping, based on readings as hasty as they were captivating. And with the surprise of the layman who has in his hands manuscripts with a calligraphy from which he has a hard time getting anything clean, documents from the 18th century about the properties and accounts of those who lived in the Granja de Salcedo where we are: the archbishop builder of Santiago de Compostela, Sebastián Malvar, and his heirs. Now these “papers from the chest” are in the Provincial Council of Pontevedra, to which the farm and the manor belong.
