Abstract

As part of the call for Projects for the Digitization of CSIC Funds 2020 for the Network of Libraries and Archives of the CSIC, the Archive of the National Museum of Natural Sciences (MNCN) submitted a proposal to digitize the Fund of the Royal Cabinet of Natural History (1752-1815) and the Fund of Scientific Expeditions of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, its oldest documents and also the most requested by users. Until now, these manuscripts could only be consulted in microfilm format in the reading room. In addition to these two collections, there is the Personal Scientific Collection: Ignacio Bolívar (28 boxes), already described in the CSIC Libraries and Archives Catalog, but pending the digitization of 8 installation units; and the Cándido Bolívar Collection (26 boxes) also described in the Catalog, but without access to the original document online.
