Abstract

The Institute of Fat was founded in 1947, along with its library. In 1953, its headquarters moved to the Seville neighbourhood of Heliópolis, separating from the experimental plant, which was located on the outskirts of the city. At the end of 2014, the Institute moved into a large new building located on the campus of the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville, thus merging its two headquarters.
