Project for the transfer and unification of the Cartuja Campus Library

Abstract

In a context of economic crisis, in which the amortization of many public employee positions is a fact and optimization is the key word, we were not surprised that the project to unify three libraries that provided services to five institutes organized in three centers, two of them located in the same building and another opposite, was revived. The reality was that it did not entail a problem for the staff and neither for the users who were left without a library physically in their center, because they would only have to cross the street to access the books and to be able to consult the library staff.
