Abstract

The Document Access Service/Interlibrary Loan (hereinafter PI/SOD) is a classic and one of the most outstanding services provided by libraries. It was created in response to the impossibility of any library being able to fully satisfy the information needs of its users. PI/SOD is a complementary mechanism and not a substitute for the development of each library's document collections.
