Abstract

In my job, there is nothing more gratifying than judging the person in front of you, testing their expectations, finding the book they were looking for among the shelves and making the two of them meet, book and reader, at the right moment in each person's life. This can produce sparks, a flare, a bonfire, it can change a life. This is how the protagonist of this dialogue describes her job as a librarian with this passion in one voice.
