Abstract

The Miguel A. Catalán Physics Centre (CFMAC) is made up of the Institutes of Structure of Matter, Fundamental Physics and Optics “Daza de Valdés” of the scientific area of ​​Physical Science and Technologies of the CSIC. The library has provided coverage to the three Institutes since 1995. In 2013, the first steps were taken towards the creation and organisation of the Archive in the CFMAC Library (AME) in order to make known documents stored but without visibility, aware of their importance and historical value. This journey began with the Archive Fund of the “Daza de Valdés” Optics Institute (AME/IO)* and currently the library is working with the Archive Fund of the Fundamental Physics Institute (AME/IFF). The protocol of action has always been the same: registration and cataloguing of the documents in the Aleph Archive-Library Management System and in June, on the occasion of the International Archives Day, an exhibition is organised to show users the existence of these documents.
