Ricardo Orueta Archive Website

Abstract

The Ricardo Orueta archive is one of the most representative of those kept in the Tomás Navarro Tomás library (CCHS-CSIC) as it is a faithful reflection of what we can find in a scientific archive. If we add to this the relevance of its producer and his connection with our institution, it was an obligatory task to dedicate a space to it in the archive section of our library's website. The documentation that makes up the Orueta archive has three clearly differentiated sections: the Gómez-Moreno and Orueta photographic archive, linked to his research work at the Centre for Historical Studies (CEH), the correspondence of the General Directorate of Fine Arts and his personal photographs and those of the Residencia de Estudiantes. This collection offers a global view of the person, the researcher and the politician concerned with the protection of Spanish artistic heritage.
