Digitalisation process at IBB

Abstract

Throughout 2015 and 2016, the Botanical Institute of Barcelona (IBB) carried out the digitalisation of part of its library and archive collections thanks to the Barcelona Open Challenge programme promoted by Barcelona City Council. This programme specified several lines of action focused on the development of technological initiatives applied to any area of ​​life, including one entitled “tools for the digitalisation of museum and archive collections”. Within this line, the IBB presented three projects (two in 2014 and one in 2015) that were selected by the jury.
