Alma, soon available at CSIC Libraries and Archives Network

Abstract

We already advanced in the last issue of Enredadera that the Network of Libraries and Archives of the CSIC signed in late 2016 a contract with the company Ex Libris for the replacement of the current library management system, Aleph, by Alma, the new library services platform developed by this company. We can now tell you that this process has been underway since July 2017 and is progressing at a good pace, so that, if the deadlines are met, and the company is very strict on this point so we do not believe that there will be delays, the new system will be open at the CSIC at the end of March 2018.
