Abstract

This year the International Open Access Week was held between 23 and 29 October and under the leitmotiv “Open for...” emphasized the multiple reuses of research results available in Open Access. DIGITAL.CSIC celebrates this annual week since 2010 with different initiatives and on this occasion the Technical Office prepared the portal “Share your Open Access story” to compile, through specific cases and personal testimonies, different types of uses that CSIC science receives in open access in the repository. The aim of the portal is to demonstrate that beyond the “dry” bibliometric indicators to measure the impact of science and behind the downloads and citations to open access research results there are specific personal motivations and varied circumstances. And thus highlight that the benefits of open access to knowledge reach everyone.
