Abstract

URFIST, the Bordeaux Regional Unit for Scientific and Technical Training, organized a seminar on March 27 to discuss the opportunities, practices and challenges of open peer review. The seminar Le peer review à l'ère de l'open science : enjeux et évolutions was held at the INRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique) headquarters on the city's university campus and was attended by a large group of researchers from a wide variety of disciplines as well as librarians from institutions and universities from all over France. The day featured presentations of various initiatives in favor of the revaluation of the role of reviewers in the scientific evaluation system and the opening of reviews to research, and was marked by a lively debate among the audience.
