Abstract

This article addresses the profile of the information professional from the point of view of the librarian of the Network of libraries and archives of the CSIC. It is intended to give a historical overview of the evolution of the professional in the Network, the challenges we have faced, the challenges that seem to come to us in the short and medium term, that is, the evolution of the traditional librarian towards the digital librarian, towards the tasks of support to scientific research that we seem to have to offer to continue being visible to researchers and the institution.
