Abstract

What if a meteorite 10 km in diameter were about to hit the Earth and we had to study how humanity could be saved? How could we survive the meteorite? Would it be better to leave the planet? This challenge was the starting point of Misión Granatensis last October, a science outreach activity within the framework of the Granada, ciencia para una ciudad initiative in which the five CSIC centers in the capital participated and whose objective was to provide several groups of students and their teachers with the knowledge and tools to save humanity from a natural catastrophe of such magnitude.
