Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) was one of the first scientific databases to start operating worldwide. Born in 1965 at the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC), it became an independent company in 1989, without losing its non-profit status. The base now reaches academic communities in more than 70 countries.
