Abstract

Open access in science, or the next and most current step, Open Science (in which the entire research process: hypotheses, workbooks, etc. is accessible, searchable, replicable, ...), is something assumed by all of us whose main working material is information. According to European and national mandates, the product of publicly funded research must be accessible, and therefore, it must be published in open access journals, or the work must be uploaded to institutional repositories (this has been the option mostly chosen in Europe and Spain, although it is not the only one) in a short period of time (usually 6 months from the date of publication). This is the current science, the current results of current research. But this science is not the only one in open access, neither in the CSIC, nor in its Libraries.
