Abstract

It is remembered that in 2019 the CSIC celebrated its 80 years of existence. These 5th Conferences constitute an extraordinary contribution from library and archive professionals. In them, Open Science has been discussed and talked about, a priority in many agendas of institutions related to scientific research. She mentions that the CSIC is an institution with a long history that has undergone important transformations at all levels. Along this path, its libraries and archives have accompanied its institutes and its scientific community, demonstrating their capacity for change and adaptation to new times and needs, adopting new technologies and introducing innovations in the provision of their services, and being pioneers in many areas. of that activity (computerization of its catalogs and services, computerization and digitization of its heritage archives, introduction of digital collections, introduction of discovery systems, adherence to the OA movement and its institutional repository Digital.CSIC).
