What is behind the services offered from our libraries and archives? A successful collaboration between the Scientific Information Resources Unit for Research (URICI-CSIC) and the Research Portal of Catalonia (PRC)

Abstract

Many of the services offered by URICI and from our libraries and archives take a lot of time and great effort to carry out. In general, we are not aware of this “invisible” part of our work, which generally results in our users being well served and that the work of the CSIC also has greater visibility. In this sense, the example of the collaboration between the URICI-CSIC, the CSIC Delegation in Catalonia and the Catalan Research Portal (PRC) is described. A chronological narration is made of the process followed, for a journey that has required more than two years to be completed, from the moment the first contacts are established until the desired objective of providing data from the CSIC centers in Catalonia on that portal is achieved.
