Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Photographs, illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the appropriate places in the text or an approximate place for their location is specified. They should include a descriptive title sentence. They are also attached in jpg or png format. They have their corresponding caption or descriptive title.
  • The APA standard (7th ed.) has been used for citations of authors and works within the body of the text and for the bibliography at the end of the article. Whenever possible, the DOI or, failing that, the URL address is given in the bibliography.
  • The submission has not been previously published or submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word or RTF format. The font must be Arial 12.
  • Bold type is used exclusively for the title of the article and the headings in which it is structured. Italics should be kept to a minimum (to mark anglicisms, highlight important words within the text and for quotations within the body of the article).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Author Guidelines, which appear in About the Journal.

Author Guidelines

All contributions to any section of the journal must be signed with the name, place of work and e-mail address of each author.

Criteria for the presentation of texts

  1. Text format in Word or rtf.
  2. Arial font and 12 pt. size.
  3. The composition of the text of the sections Live, The Network and About us should have at least: title, abstract (no more than 100 words), between 3 and 5 keywords and the full text. The text of the article, as far as possible, should be clearly structured (introduction, development of the text in headings, conclusion and bibliography). The recommended length is between 3 and 5 pages.
  4. Photographs, illustrations, tables, graphs, etc., should be included in the body of the text in the corresponding position or indicate approximate location, and should include a sentence as a descriptive title. They should also be attached in a separate file in jpg or png format.
  5. For the News and Reviews sections, the recommended length is 1 page.
  6. The APA standard (7th ed.) should be used for citations of authors and works within the body of the text and for the bibliography at the end of the article. Whenever possible, the DOI or, failing that, the URL address should be provided.
  7. Footnotes should be footnoted and numbered.
  8. It is the responsibility of the authors to request authorization for the reproduction of the material included or cited in their articles.

Larger texts may be accepted if the journal's editorial team considers it appropriate due to the interest of the subject matter. Ultimately, the editorial team of ENREDADERA may propose the modification of the text, reject it if it is considered that it does not comply with the appropriate orientation, or include it in a different issue of the journal.

It is the sole responsibility of the authors to express their opinion in their texts and to ensure the veracity of the content of their contributions.

The articles and contributions included in ENREDADERA are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

Live

This section of Enredadera is dedicated to a monographic topic of professional interest on which both members of the CSIC Libraries and Archives Network and external people who contribute a vision of interest are invited to participate.

Recommended length: between 2 and 5 pages.

A brief summary and key words should be provided.

The Network

This section of Enredadera is dedicated to reports and reflections on projects, services, activities, etc. that have been undertaken as a collective model in the Network of Libraries and Archives of the CSIC.

Maximum recommended length: 2 pages.

About us

This section of Enredadera presents the projects, activities, services, etc. that the libraries and archives of the Network develop as part of their work.

Maximum recommended length: 2 pages.

A brief summary and keywords should be provided.

News

This section of Enredadera presents brief reports on activities in which members of the Network of Libraries and Archives of the CSIC participate --or that are developed in their professional environment-- and may be of interest as attendance or participation in congresses, seminars, exhibitions, conferences, etc.

Maximum recommended length: 1 page.

Reviews

This section of Enredadera provides a descriptive review of a publication that may be of interest to professionals of the CSIC Libraries and Archives Network. It can be a book, journal issue, electronic resource, press release, web page, exhibition, etc. related to the world of libraries, archives, museums, documentation, books, open access, etc.

Maximum recommended length: 1 page.
