The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) has scheduled several activities for 2016 under the common title of Cervantes and the CSIC with the aim of celebrating the fourth centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes. The first ones were held in Madrid in April 2016, but in the coming months other proposals will be carried out in Seville, Barcelona and again in Madrid at the end of this year. The aim is to bring to society the presence of Cervantes in different scientific disciplines, the importance that the CSIC has given to the studies on the life and work of the Prince of Wits and to promote the knowledge of the Cervantes collection, bibliographical and documentary, gathered in the Network of Libraries and Archives of the CSIC.
